Further Sales of the COREL runway edge light to European Airports
Metalite has recently completed three contracts for the supply of its COREL light units and battery chargers to Shannon Airport (Ireland), Copenhagen Airport (Denmark) and Ferighy Budapest Airport (Hungary). The order for Copenhagen Airport was the second order within a year after complete satisfaction with the products by the customer.
All three customers will use the COREL units (with red lenses) for normal nighttime airside operations where parts of the airfield are closed during engineering and construction work. As required by ICAO and other CAA authorities, obstructions and engineering work on an airfield should be delineated with obstruction lights and be visible to passing aircraft and vehicles.
These customers join a long line of existing customers who use Metalite's range of battery-powered airfield lighting at their airports. These include airports such as Brussels International (Belgium), Amsterdam Schipol (The Netherlands), Madrid Barajas (Spain), Lisbon International (Portugal), Rome Fiumicino (Italy), Vienna Airport (Austria) and many UK airports such as London Gatwick, London Stansted, Manchester International, Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Nottingham East Midlands, Glasgow International, Edinburgh International and Aberdeen International.
